I am wanting to use a distortion pedal but rather than swittch it on or off I'd like to bring in the distortion effect gradually during the course of a song.
My thoughts for doing this were to have a loop on my board (not an amp effects loop) with the distortion and a FVP1 volume pedal in it.
My question is, would this give me what I want. Would the volume pedal effect just the effects in the loop and therefore control the amount of distortion in a gradual way with out any effect on the other effects on my board not in the loop. I am thinking of using a One Control loop pedal to do this.
I'm a bit new to pedal boards so any advise greatly appreciated.
