hi, i read there are left handed pick ups made by Fender for the Stratocaster guitars, are still used today or were they used in the early days?
Which are the differences from the actual one put on left handed guitars?

I am not a expert, but I have never heard of a left handed pickup. If a pickup's poles are all the same height it would not matter. If they are staggerd, you just flip the pickup 180 degrees. From a manufacturing stand point it would make more sense to route a lefthanded body to accept the pickups flipped, than to make special pickups. 8)

You can't always rotate a pickup 180 degrees. The base of a pickup is kind of shaped like a pentagon, installed with the tip oriented towards the bottom of the guitar. There usually isn't room in the routing for the tip to point to the neck, even if the wires are long enough.

I have an old Left handed Strat. The pickups are, of course, left handed, and are marked LH on the bottom. The staggered magnets are reverse positioned compared to right handed pickups: a fairly simple manufacturing difference between LH and RH.
