I was looking into this 50s wiring mod for a Strat and since I'm gotta be doing some pot swaps on my guitar shortly, I might as well try it. Then I started wondering if there was a method using a mini-toggle that I could wire this up so I can revert back to the stock wiring with a flip of the switch.

If anyone can advise me on how this can be done I'd love to hear

Yes, this can be done with a DPDT switch, a toggle or push/pull pot will work. I have not tried this myself, but it sounds interesting. I have some parts for a new pick guard and I think I will include this in the wiring. I did not put all of the parts in the diagram, for example the tone pots. Since the wiring for them did not change there was no need to include them. As the article states you, need to remove the wire jumper on the selector switch common tabs. If you try this let me know how it works.
