Alright guys so I'm torn between two straps, which are both pretty cheap but it suits my needs at the moment, anyway I'm curious to which would be better for your back and safest for your guitar. The fender black cotton strap or the fender vintage tweed strap?

Cotton

Tweed

Thanks

Hi chadp, welcome to the forums.
I think either one would be great, but out of the two I would go with the tweed.

I avoid any straps with metal ornamentation, rivets, buckles, or adjustment sliders which might end up dinging a guitar's finish. That plain tweed strap uses a slider made of polymer resin and I own a couple of those. Comfortable. And safe.

I have many of them , I preferred leather strap , larger one , more confortable for long playing.

The tweed are pretty cool looking, but what I don't like about them is that they are stretchy.

Twew dat, but it's a double-edged sword. Material that stretches also breathes......if you sweat a lot when playing, that difference will be palpable. The tweed material stays cooler to the touch than leather or a synthetic textile.

+1 on the breathability, that is why I use these almost exclusively.
