5% difference could be within the error of your meter. It is also probably well within the manufacturing tolerances.

If you removed some turns of wire from the coils, you could hit the DC resistance you desire. How accurate is your meter?

...and chance to ruin the pickups . :(

Meter error + contact between meter probe and wire end not perfect + Fender tolerance =
your pickup

dave d ; forget that , enjoy playing . This won't change the tone of the guitar

+1!

It ain't broke......don't try to "fix" it.

Most of Fender's accessory pickup sets of late seem to be slightly overwound to one degree or another. Likely, your ear will never discern the difference.

my meter tester was very expensive and is spot on ,i got the same reading on another meter, the reason i'm asking is because the package the pups was in was opened i.m not convinced that they are 57/62, more like ether 56s or 69s or even copys with that reading if you go off fender specs

Can you return them to the store where you bought them and get an unopened set?

To you and I, perhaps. But to someone with an extremely well-trained ear, mebbe not. Audio acumen is a difficult concept to quantify.

Yes.

DCR measurements notwithstanding, how do they sound?
