Hello. I'm about to install a Mid boost kit (0057577000) in my modified Squire Affinity Strat. I have heard that there is a mistake in the wiring diagram on a couple of forums. Is this true? I can't find any difference on my instructions, the 'Old' Clapton wiring diagram, the 'New' one or the Buddy Guy diagram. Just a myth?

Second, where does the Solder lug (parts #19, 20 or 21) attach to the guitar? Also, it did not come in my kit. So does pole 2(black wire) on the pre-amp board just go directly to ground?

I have some no name pickups, which do sound great with the installed TBX that I have now. But, they can be a little noise with alot of drive on the amp. Are noiseless pickups required?

Lastly, can this kit be used with Active pickups. I have some 'S' type active active pickups, but I can find no info on weather the kit can be used with active pickups or not.

Thanks in advance.

The Fender Elite circuit usually requires hum-cancelling stacks or full-sized humbuckers for noise reduction but if you're using regular single coils you can drop an internal dummy coil beneath the pickguard to eliminate the unwanted 60-cycle buzz.
