I am wanting a mix between jimi and srv ..Have it narrowed down between texas specials and 57 62s any advice would be great. Love the sound of texas specials on you tube. But the 57 62s also sound good. want the clean bell like tone but also want the alll out texas bluse sound.

Texas Special are good ones.
I own 2 on my Strat in neck and middle pos. and they sound warm.
I really happy with them.

I've got the 57/62s in my '02 Strat and I just love the vintage sound but like you lisaanddavegreen I like that knarly bluesy tone sooo...now I'm looking for another strat with Texas Specials or a Strat I can hotrod. You could buy a pedal or two to change your sound.

Actually, if you are looking for a cross between Jimi and SRV, you'd probably be better off with a premium EQ pedal of some sort.

I'll use current Fender brand pickups as the closest reference: Hendrix used 69 Strat pickups which were of a lower output and midrange scooped. They were very crisp sounding pickups, especially with their Alnico V magnets; SRV used 54s and Texas Specials. They both have lots of midrange and higher output, especially the TX Specials and the tone was a bit smoother and sweeter on both due to the Alnico III magnets.

So, if you wanted to really nail the Hendrix tone, a set of 69s on their own would do nicely through your amp. In terms of SRV, a 54/54/TS combo would achieve his. To get both players out of one set of pickups, that's where the EQ comes in. Or...

You could put a 69 in the neck, a 54 in the middle and a TX Special in the bridge. You'll wind up with a mighty versatile Strat however, you won't be able to capture all the tones of both Hendrix and SRV but you will positively have some of them.

Which brings us back to what you have in your Strat right now. I would think that with a premium EQ, you'd probably be able to achieve the same results with some patient, in-depth fiddling around with the EQ and just working with the stock pickups.
