I put the Schaller tuners on mine.

REALLY like them.

As far as "is there anything to know", there is one thing, with the Schallers at least.
The tuner posts ARE of a staggered heigth.
I did not know this until I read it in one of the POSTs on this forum...somewhere.
Anyway, I began to panic cause I figured with my luck they were sure to be on wrong, but luckily, I had them correct.

Oh...and bss......
The Schallers keep tune very well.
I have never had a problem with them.

I just put a set of the new Fender locking tuners (with the F logo) on my MIM strat. They're sweet. An easy drop in replacement.

Where did you get them with logos?

Mine are "supposed" to be Fender/Schallers, but they don't have the F on them.

Sorry I'm behind getting back to this thread. I ordered them online...forgot where (man that's sad). I have to tell you, it took some work finding them, as the previous model seems to be discontinued and nobody has it in chrome. I'm sure yours are the Fender Schaller. It's only the new ones with the F logo....and again, they are just getting out.

I have a guitar with locking tuners. Yes.....there is a certain way to string. When you have the strings off, there are certain "clock" positions that you set the posts, before you put in the strings. If you have a fender guitar and have the "generic" manual that came with it, got to the locking turners section. It will show you all the clock positions that you should set our posts to, before putting in the strings. If you don't have the manual, I believe the Fender site has the manual online.
