Hey guys, I changed my pick guard and now my noiseless pickups are no longer noiseless. Any suggestions?

You may forget a wire to ground . Could be any wire not only from the pickups .

Rule of tumb ; if was working fine before you mod , check you job .

I didn't undo any of the wiring, though, I just took one pick guard off and replaced it with another. I suppose I can take it off and see if anything came loose.

Or it is just a feeling, you did not adjust pickups at same height as before . How is the wiring ? Clean as it was before ? With tape to tie wire together ?

What is the pickgard you buy ? A Fender or a "no name " ? Fender pickgard help to keep noise outside the guitar , some "no name" don't .
To have a quiet guitar you need more than noiseless.

There is no reason if you drop only ( ? ) a new pickgard , to have a pickup problem .

Pickup by itself can't be noisy . They are built the way to be noiseless , if you don't mod inside the pickups , they stay noiseless.

Thanks, stratele52, I moved the pickups back just a little and the buzz is gone, so that must be what it was.

Are they properley adjust for best tone now ? Fender may have some hints about that on SUPPORT.

About the pickgard you did not answer .

The tone is incredible with this guitar. Sorry, the pickguard is a fender strat pickguard.
