Thought? Texas Specials in an American Special vs Broadcaster Twisted Tele set in an American Standard?

I've got a '52 AVRI that I'm really not very satisfied with...playability or sound actually. My CV Tele is more fun to play!

Different beasts.
Texas Specials are hot wound and not IMHO traditional Tele sounding.
The Broadcaster/Twisted Tele mix give you old fashioned bridge Tele sound and Strat-like neck.

If it's a new guitar.
The American Special has jumbo frets which are not everyone's favorite.
