I am trying to decide if changing out the single coils that came with my 57' reissue, to the new N3 noiseless or similar, would be a good idea?
Are there advantages/disadvantages etc.

Why did you buy a 57 reissue if you don't like these pu ?

The N3's have their fans but just as many players have found them to be lacking in the tone department.

As far as noiseless Strat pickups go, I think the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage line is the best value for the money. I have them in three different Strats and they consistently deliver what I need.
