Well it worked out well with the neck pickup in the bridge position and the neck pu is not too bad now. Down the road I may try peeling some windings off the neck too get it more to my liking.

Update:
I ended up peeling back the neck and middle pickups to Fat 50's spec. I left the bridge hot for now. This is close to the original pickup resistance specs, just better pickups. No plastic bobbins for me!
