I just bought a used mexi strat. The guy wasn't sure but thought it had "Texas special" pick-ups.
How can I be sure?

The TS pickups feature staggered-and-beveled alnico V magnets. The middle pickup is RW/RP and its lead-in wires will be black and yellow. The bridge pickup will be marked on the bottom of the bobbin with a red dot while the neck pickup will be marked with a blue dot. The bobbins themselves are black and are periodically marked on the bottom with a Custom Shop sticker.
