Hello,
I’m new to the forum. I just recently purchased a set of 57-62 pickups for my Squier upgrade project. Have a couple of questions about them.

1) With none of the 3 being reversed wound (i.e. the mid, to help with noise cancelation) should I still expect noise issues even when I shielded the cavity with nickel paint? I’m also using a fully shielded Fender pick guard, plus all shielding will be properly grounded.

2) When I metered them, 2 out of the 3 read around 6.05K, but the 3rd read 6.45K. Called Fender, they told me that they should all be the same with the 57-62 set and they are within tolerances. Any ideas where to put the higher (6.45K) pup, bridge maybe? Thanks in advance.

Use the pickup with the 6.45K DCR at the bridge.

No matter the type of countermeasures employed, single-coil pickups will generate some level of extraneous noise. Shielding can help, as can an out-of-phase dummy-coil wired in parallel between the selector switch and the master volume control. Beyond that, there's little else to be done.
