The original "Noiseless" neck pickup on my USA Fender Strat has lost half it's former volume. The middle and bridge pickups are working fine. No modifications have been made to this guitar. I looked at the solder points and all connections appear to be good. Suggestions for what to do next?

Isolate the neck pickup from the rest of the guitar's wiring and check the coil's DCR with an ohmmeter. You should see a reading somewhere around 9.8K ohms for normal pickup. A serious deviation from that figure may indicate that the windings are open somewhere on the bobbin.
