hey everyone. this is my first post so try not to freak out on me if i say anything wrong.

but recently i've been thinking about making a new guitar, and i was wondering what people preferred out of the texas special pickups or the vintage, or hot, noisless. price really isn't much of an issue but if the noisless are just as good i wouldn't mind keeping the extra 50 for something else. so tell me what you think.

thanks

Hello Dxavier,

I have the vintage noiseless in my strat
and they are great. But there are quite a
few pickups out there that I like better.

You really should make the time to expose
yourself to whats out there, you'll feel
better about your final decision.

Best of luck.

Cheers.

I have the noisless in my deluxe players and they are good pickups if you absolutely hate the hum. There's just one thing I don't like about them, and that is that they don't have enough bite, crunch, whatever you call it. Because of this I prefer the sound of standard pickups to noisless. But don't just go on my judgement go and try some out to see if you like them or not. I just bought some texas specials and when my strat gets out of the shop (widening the nut slots) I'll put them in it and let ya' know how they sound.

Tried out the Texas Special pickups and they are great especialy for blues. They are like a standard set of pickups but with more "balls"

I have the SCN's in my 50th anniv model. I really like the tone. This model also has the S1 switching system. I highly endorse that setup. With the pups in humbucking mode you can get crunch on demand.
