Hello.
I have 'inherited' a Squier Affinity Strat - Indonesian made.

I know for certain that the bridge pickup has been replaced ... but I suspect that the others may have been also.
The bridge is definitely a Seymour Duncan.
The middle and neck are slightly different colours - off-white and white respectively. They have no name on them. The underside looks different to stock Squier.

I wonder too if the pots and wiring have been modded.

Can anyone please help me to ID these replacement parts?
Many thanks in advance.

Seymour Duncan pickup could be any one of these:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/e ... _jr_sjbj1/

http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/e ... reamin_de/

http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/e ... _59_for_s/

Middle and neck are cheap stock ceramic pickups with different covers.

Pots appear to be 250K ohm CTS. These are better than what comes in an Affinity.

Tone cap is a cheap 0.033 mfd polyester capacitor.

Thanks bluesky

very helpful

I can see that ID'ing the Seymour Duncan may prove difficult ... the letters on the underside being the only marking ... I will try over at the SD forums

the other two are bog-standard cheap single coils then it seems ... I was curious because of the 'waxy' coating on the underside ... hey ho

I'm not sure what pots an Affinity normally comes with .... how would CTS 250 improve things?

Cheers

Affinitys usually come with cheap import pots. CTS pots are simply higher quality and better made.
