I always have bought the most expensive and most well known name aftermarket upgrade parts. I read comments by people who say that they are very happy with Guitar Fetish products: [pickups, pedals, etc). I have always avoided them simply because they are so much less in price. I believe that you get what you pay for. GFS seems to good to be true. If anyone has used any of their products and has an opinion, please give me your feedback.

My experience with GFS is limited only to their steel trem blocks -- I've installed several in some of my clients' Strats. They've always performed as advertised, with no post-mod heartburn or buyer's remorse. I cannot say anything regarding their pickups or hardware but anecdotally, I've talked with folks who have used them and they're generally pleased with the results.

I buy a lot of my parts from Guitar Fetish and find that they are an excellent product for the price. I have their pickups in two of my 5 guitars. Keep in mind that I match the price/quality of their products with the price/quality of my guitars. I would not put a $40 GFS pickup in my AVRI 52 Tele anymore than I would put a $100+ Seymour Duncan in my $65 Washburn Lyon. But the $40 each Alnico 2 humbuckers I put in my Lyon sound great (as do the Seymour Duncan Vintage Stacks I put in my 52). I use the GFS stainless steel saddles in all of my guitars that use a Strat type saddle. I also buy a lot of other parts from them and have had no problems. I bought a Tele pickup from them and discovered a tiny blemish in the chrome cover after installation. I sent them a photo. Not only did they replace the pickup, they sent me a prepaid shipper to send back the bad one.

Thanks Arjay & Bill. I've got an Epi Nighthawk on order. Duncan has a '59 and JB model [bridge pups] for that axe. I've never bought a guitar from Epiphone. In the music stores I've worked in; I've played dozens of Epis from the low budget rack. They (can) play surprisingly well. Duncan pups/nice caps/heavily shielded Gibson pickup wire, etc. just might serve me up a third guitar that will fit well between my Strat and Les Paul. Rawk On!

I took a GFS vintage style bridge and block off a Squier cuz it sounded dull and weak. Upon further examination, the steel block was not making full contact with the bridge plate. Either the plate was warped, or the block wasn't straight, or both.

I put the stock bridge back on and thing lit up like Christmas tree. The stock bridge was more stable too!

I like GFS.
Their Mean90 wails in combo w/ stock HB on a Joe Pass.
An old set of Hot Lead Alnicos for one of my Strats.
All new gold hardware new electrics & a set of Retrotrons (1 Nashville, 1 Liverpool)
in an old Squier!
Their Slick straps are a better length than most others.
Their order-delivery is very good.

I bought a bunch of parts (including pickups) from them awhile back. I didn't like any of them enough to keep them, unfortunately. A couple of the pickups sounded good enough, but the others were just dull sounding. Any real Fender pickup would sound better IMO. I also bought a deluxe Strat trem bridge with a "full sized" steel block that really was steel, but wasn't even close to full size. The trem had way too much slop to be useful to me anyway. I haven't been tempted to go back...
