Does anyone know what is causing the bridge pickup to be dead on a brand new set of Fat 50s pickups. Installed in a Fender Classic 50s Stratocaster. My guitar tech says the other two pickups work fine, guitar pots check out OK on the multimeter, but absolutely no reading on the bridge pickup. Solder joints OK, so I'm stumped. Could it be internal winding wire broken or ??? Your expertise please.

Did your guitar tech check the 2 solder lug/ eyelet on the pickup itself ?

Pickups are made with very small wire and if the tool making winding around pole piece stretch too much this small wire , it could break few moths later....

Maybe I'm missing something here. You state your guitar tech checked it out, shouldn't he have been able to answer this question?

Thanks Stratele52....all the leads seem OK, solder joints etc, must be something internal...

Did yu reheat soder joint in the eyelet ? Sometimes it help . When I read "solder seems OK " I don't know how you do the test or what test you do. This is not an answer.

I had same problem on old tele, the meter said solder are good , but pickup does't work . I reheat solder eyelets on the pickup and pickup work after.
