I am looking to replace my pickups ( SSS ) and was lookin for some versatile options.
I have never replaced pickups and have no idea what to do
I play pretty much anything....
I've been looking at a set of Hot rails, Cool Rails and Vintage Rails- versatile set?
Thanks
:D

There are many good options and tastes vary.

Just staying in the Fender family line, the Custom Shop Fat '50s are high quality pickups that are installed in many CS Strats. As the name implies, they are a bit thicker than a typical vintage sound.

For a more traditional sound at less cost, the '57/'62 Strat pickups are a really good set that comes standard on the AVRI line.

If you can, it might help to get out to a store and demo Strats with various sets.

Best of luck.
