Post subject: 1966 fender mustang

i have a 1966 mustang or at least that is wat is on the back of the pick up but i need both pick ups wat is the best to go back with.I did a cotnanuity test and both are bad according to the test

Unless the guitar has been abused, in my experience it is rare that both pickups are bad. Notwithstanding, you have two choices: Get them to a competent tech, one who among his/her specialties is repairing/rewinding pickups or, there are replacement pickups out there for Mustangs. As a matter of fact, you can even use Stratocaster pickups as long as the polepieces are flat.
