Well, i have quite a lot of experience in strings. The 150's are pure nickel wound, they are soft, low tension, and have a vintage sound with reduced highs.
The 250's are nickel plated on stainless steel. They have the soft feel of nickel but the power and clarity of stainless steel. These are the most famous strings in the world and it is what you hear on most records.
The 350's are stainless steel. They are harder than the other two but provide more power from your pickups and have better corrosion resistance and last longer. They're ideal when using lots of effects as the signal cuts through better than the other two.

If anymore needs any help on pickups and strings, ask me, these things are my passion and i know 'em all!!! Hope it helped. :D

Hello Akdomun,

So the question that I'm asking
Do you think that the stainless
strings will wear the frets faster?

And a new question
Do you think the stainless string
have better sustain?

Thanks.

Cheers.

Well, being stiffer and harder, yes, stainless steel will wear down frets faster. And being more magnetic and stiffer again, they will tend to be have less sustain, but actually the increased power will make your pickup "pickup"the sound for longer when the string has been vibrating for some time; thus, stainless steel has the same sustain as nickel plated steel, but more power, more resistance to corrosion but are harder and wear down frets more quickly.

Hope it helped :D

So the myth of eating frets are actually true...I'm still using the stainless steel tho.
