I have a suggestion...

Rename this forum "Fender Pickups & Accessories" and maybe it will get more action. We just LOVE to talk about pickups and it might work here, although it will be hard to keep all pickup threads out of the Strat and Tele forums.

SMark! You made it here! Awesome!!!

SMark is THE MAN when it comes to pickups and I agree we need a section called just "Pickups" in this accessories section would be fantastic especially with SMark here!

Well, thanx for the invite. I recorded a little with my Abby Masterwounds and I figured I might post it here (first!). Won't have time before we close today, but should be tomorrow.

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement volume knob for my american deluxe strat with the S-1 switch... can't find them online or in stores. Any idea where I can find it? Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on the Ultra gig bags. I've been looking for a second case for my 98 Am Std. Strat - that might be just the ticket.

As for suggestions, while we're on the subject of cases, how about a line of "tricked out" hardshell cases for various tastes/budgets etc. I think many Fender fanatics (such as me!) would be receptive to coooool cases that are artistic as well as functional. I have a CS Strat on order and I would definitely be willing to invest in a strong, way cool case.

Sonicman: That's right. I bought a Classic '70s MIM Strat with the large CBS headstock that I tricked out with Custom Shop '69 pickups and a shielding job and then bought the black Fender case with Magenta lining and it really makes the presentation complete. Jimi would have been pround to display his white Woodstock Strat in this one, but instead, he had that bright orange stock case. Ugh! http://areyouexperienced.net/shielding-70s-stratocaster-1.htm

I'd rather have a purple lining though than the magenta bit not available yet.

I can vouch for SMark's pup sound with those from hearing on the tweed site

...and maybe he'll post his Lace golds track :?:

Hi Billy-

I havent seen the new Ultra gigbags yet. Are the shoulder strap clips any stronger? I seem to break those on my Deluxe gigbags.

Hey Tele295 -

Yes, the New Ultra Bags are a TREMENDOUS improvement in style, functionality, ride and comfort. The previous model Ultra Bags were great however, we did identify some issues with the shoulder strap construction/ design after repeated usage.

This is why we took good time, good ideas and good efforts to truly make these bags worthy of the "ultra" name. They're cool!!!

Thanks for questions - keep 'em coming.

Billy

Any plans for an Ultra double bag? I use the double guitar Deluxe bag all the time, one compartment for my Tele and one for mic stands, etc.. We've jerry-rigged some Deluxe bags into some interesting double combinations, too, including bass/gtr and acoustic gtr/electric gtr. Would you consider making those in the Ultra line?

This is exactly what I'm talking - IDEAS. This is one of the reasons why this forum exists. Keep the suggestions coming!

Thanks,
Billy
