Hi All.

You guys have helped me out a lot before so hoping you can again.

I have a USA standard strat from 95 (The matching headstock BM). I've had a lot of problems trying to get it to sound good. It was a gift from a very special person so trading it in is not an option. It plays very well, feels good and looks great (to me anyway).

So I had the entire inside taken out and a set of Vintage Noiseless put in. This was due to the stock pickups not being high enough output for me and also they were very heavy on the treble side of tone.

So it improved the sound a lot. I liked it. I had one issue and that was loss of treble when rolling off the volume. I've just installed a treble bleed and it fixed that problem.

Now for another issue. I have a Sambora strat with Hot noiseless pickups, A Tele deluxe with N3's, my 2009 standard strat and 60th anniversary tele. All these sound great compared to each other. Maybe the N3's are a little harsh but I like em. When I throw the 95 into the mix I can get it to sound nice but not on the same amp/pedal settings that my other guitars all collectively use.

So based on the above I'm thinking on changing the pickups. I've narrowed to down to Hot Noiseless as I know from the Sambora that I like them or Texas Specials. My question is has anyone out there got 2 guitars, one with Texas Specials and one with Hot noiseless? How do they compare to each other on the same settings?

I've done my research so I know I pretty much like the TS pickups as every demo I've heard them on they sound amazing. I actually saw a Youtube video of a Sambora strat. I sound great, I read the description only to find the guy had swapped out the hot noiseless for Texas Specials. So on this and other demos I'm really thinking strongly about them but obviously if they sound far too different then I know to stay away. So how do they sound on the same amp/pedal settings as Hot noiseless?

Thanks for any help guys.

G.
