HELLLLOOO FORUM!!

I am in limbo between two pickups (for a strat) and would like some help from people who have used both. I love playing blues/rock/fun/southern rock/jazz stuff just to give you a heads up.
First of all I'm looking for something with a warm tone more than anything. Something that does not blow up anytime you turn the volume up, and I am also not a fan of really bright highs.. I also would like something with a rather low output for a clean john mayerish sound. I would also like something that you can actually play in the bridge position.
The two that I am thinking heavily on are lollar blondes or custom shop 69's, but I am open to all suggestions.
Thank you in advance!
Cheers,
Lambo

Howdy & Welcome!

If your not up for bright pups I'd avoid the CS69's. They are a seriously bright and "Spanky" voiced set of pups.

I've not tried a set my self (others here have) but the Fat 50's might be worth a look.

Best of luck.

Andy

+1

I can't praise this set enough but YMMV of course.
