Hi

Ive just installed some Vintage Noiseless pickups to my Mexican strat using the pots and capacitor supplied with the set. Ive just checked the polarities of my noiseless pickups and they all seem to be North? Is this correct...if so why? And if not...what gives?

Ive also compared the tone of the pickups against my USA standard strat with original pickups and the USA sounds much warmer on all the pup settings compared to the customised Mex? I also found the Mex output to be slightly less than that of the USA? Is there anything i can do to improve this or is this the nature of the Noiseless pups?

Thanx

Welcome.

I can't answer the questions of your first paragraph. However, I can respond to those of your second. I agree with your observations of the pickup sets by comparison. The only way you MAY get the VNs to sound a tad better is to put back all the 250K pots. Aside from this, there isn't much left as the VNs are what they are.

There is no "polarity issue". Were you expecting the middle pickup to be RW/RP? The VNs are stacked humbuckers. All three are wound the same and with the same magnetic polarity.
