Anyone tried the Kinman noiseless pickups? He claims he's got the full-on single coil sound with no hum. I like my Highway One as is, but bought intending to upgrade to noiseless pickups. Information would really be appreciated?

It's for real - if you use top quality cables and amps, it's silent.

They are loud yet quiet in areas with a lot of errant electrical signals, Strat-sounding with a good choice of nuances for each pickup position, no batteries required, sensitive to picking, articulate sounding, evenly balanced for each string and looks stock with an option to choose covers without their logo.

Extremely well made and designed. I have 4 sets and they are all Excellent. If you are looking for vintage tone the Mark II Traditionals are the one's. I like the Blues set the best myself.

I have Kinman's in one of my Strats. I love em'. There are some great sound samples on the Kinman site:

http://www.kinman.com/

Poke around and click on the "Sounds" buttons:

They deliver what they say. Great tone, well built and pretty quiet too. As mentioned above it does help to take other precautions too--shielding, quality cables, etc.

I put a set of Woodstock 2's in my hwy 1 this week and could'nt be happier. I got the K9 harness and I'm glad I did. I gives you seven pickup choices and the bridge blend with the neck was worth the price alone. Easy to install and noiseless.

I'm not a fan of Kinman's, I recommend checking out www.billlawrence.com
