Does anyone use these or have tone tips for them? I got a great deal on them, but wow, they scream, almost like how output humbuckers. The tone control do very little. Any thought how I can tame them a bit before I consider replacement?

Try any/all of the following: Reset your amp. Lower the pickups far away from the strings; ensure that you are using 250K pots (no no-loads) including having the bridge pickup hooked up to one of the tone pots; use a .1uf cap. If none of these remedies solve your problem, then clearly, this pickup set is not for you.

Its not the amp, its just very overdriven pickups. I think I only have a .022 or .047 cap on it now. Pots are all wired up.

Well, if it's a question of the pickups simply being too powerful, all you can do is lower them closer to the surface of the pickguard. If this is unacceptable, then that set is clearly not for you.
