Hey all

Just resently installed a set of the Hot Noisless in a strat. But the actually output volume into an amp is much less then my other strats. The one has lace sensors, which i can understand might have more output, its the Blue/Silver/Red set. But that the Tex Mex single coils on another guitar have considerable more volume output is just strange. I kept on changing guitars without changing anything on the amp and there was a noticable difference in volume of the sound coming out the amp.

Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the wiring etc?

I was so looking forward to the hot noisless pickups, but now i'm very underwhelmed. :(

Sounds like you have a problem with either the pickup or your wiring. Please post photos of your wiring. Hot Noiseless pickups should be, well, hot!

No - they don't!
The hots have become my favorite Fender pickups. Clean, they have a very full, deep, 3D sound.
Overdrive and distortion is where they really shine. If you'll remember the regular vintage noiseless did not sound good overdriven. This was corrected with the hots and now they just sing and sustain.
If you want chunky rock chording, they are there. Also, harmonics just leap out of them. They also keep that hollow, woody, SRV neck tone that I love. They are very versatile. The Strat that I have them in is one of my favorites. I've had quite a few people ask, what pickups are those?
