Hello everyone. Not new to the forum but I forgot the password for my old account

Ive searched for awhile and haven't found any answers. Two days ago I installed the Fender Custom Shop fat 50s PUs in my Classic Series 50s strat. The box says that the middle PU is reverse wound for the hum cancelling in positions 2 & 4 but sadly it is not doing it. The pickups work fine and sound great but Im wondering if I did something wrong. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Are the leads on your middle pickup yellow and black?

Fender uses these colors to denote a RP/RW pickup.

Did you double-check your wiring job?

My Fat '50s are perfect in every respect and, with regard to conventional single-coil pickups, they're relatively silent in positions 2 and 4. I have an aluminum shielding plate installed over the control cavity only, as per a '50-era Strat and the guitar is a hardtail.

Strange......

b4 I changed my strings today i checked and everything checks out fine. However the night I was installing them I noticed something strange. When I installed the pickups they are in the opposite direction then the way they are on the instruction sheet that came with the pickups. I doubt they are backwards but even if they are they should be hum cancelling, right? hmm. they still sound great tho 8)

In that case the pole pieces on all three pickups are reversed.

If you have a multimeter, put it on resistance, plug a cable into the guitar, and measure the resistance at the tip and ring of your cable on each pickup selector switch position. Post your findings.
