So i want to get some really jazzy tones from a strat bodied guitar. I was thinking the Jazzmaster neck pickup as that seems to be very warm and soft toned, but i thought i'd ask if anybody knows of a pickup that is even more jazzy than a Jazzmaster one.

And don't even try to tell me that i shouldn't bother because it's a solid body, it's a project that i'm working on to make a guitar that can do three different genres just by changing the pickup, so my mind is made, i just want a super warm tone from the neck pickup and am asking for opinions on what to go for.

Cheers.

Here's something just as efficient and cheap to where you don't even have to spring for another pickup: Ensure that your upper tone control is dedicated to the neck pickup. Dedicate a higher value capacitor, specifically a .1uf to the upper tone control. Height wise on the pickguard, lower your neck pickup by 1/4 of where it is now. Once all of the above is accomplished, turn the upper tone pot down to about 4.
