Good evening, all! First time on here.

I picked up a Squier with the intention of replacing parts in order to understand guitars better.

I decided to replace the bridge sections, because it seemed easy and inexpensive. However, I've noticed that the American Series Strat Bridge Sections comes with two shorter springs. I'm unsure where to use these two.

Here is a link to them. http://www.absolutebestguitars.com/servlet/the-462/FENDER-AM-Deluxe-BRIDGE/Detail

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

- Chris

Welcome!

To directly answer your question, the G and low E strings. However, those you've cited are probably not the ones you should be using for if you look close, the intonation screws are offset to one side whereas on your Squier, they are probably centered.

Ah yes, I see. So I'd have to get centered bridge sections, or the proper bridge. Excellent.

Thanks for the help!
