I've just bought the 19kg (42lbs) Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb amplifier, for use in my apartment. I would also like to get a trolley to place it on so that I can wheel it from room to room and not have to lug it around. Is there a cheap solution? Thanks all.

Try Home Depot or Lowe's -- they both offer a nice selection of hand-trucks.

+1, I picked one up from Lowes for $30. Head over the the pipe department and buy some of the black foam pipe insulation to wrap around the uprights and cover the base. It'll help protect the amp. You can also add a couple of stretchie tie down things to secure it to the trolley.

Yes go to Lowes or other hardware store and get a furniture dolly. It should work perfectly.

Don't forget trolley can be "hard" on tubes. Never trolley amp when tubes are hot. Best one are with pneumatic tire. But they are big

ABSOLUTELY, +1!!!

An amp is safer to move when the tubes are cool to the touch.

Thanks cherokee747

My back likes it too. I screwed castors directly to the base of my Marshall Bluesbreaker but apparently standing directly on the floor give a better sound. Hence the trolley.

Acoustic coupling is no "old wives' tale". Audiophiles have subscribed to this principle for years.

That's what I'm saying, so it looks like another trolley for the Bluesbreaker :D

At least I have the castors to start with, they're the expensive part for me.
