Hi,
I acquired a non-working phaser.

The first thing i want to change is the fuse which hopefully is the reason it doesn't work.

I can't read the numbers on the fuse that is in there. Does anyone here have one that can tell me what fuse to get.

I also need to find a new cord/plug to replace the once that is in bad shape.

I also need new rubber feet.

If you have any info for these please let me know.

I called fender but they didn't have the info on hand.

Thanks.

You should be able to find most of what you've listed here......

I can't help with the fuse size though -- sorry.

HTH anyway

The fuse that came in the unit says 1/4amp, 250v.

I doubt that this fuse is original.

I couldn't find a fuse with these specs so I got a 1amp fuse from the local auto parts store.

And it works!

But....

1. If the 1 amp fuse is too high in amps could this be a problem? Does anyone here know what the correct fuse is for this pedal. The bottom of the pedal says 120 volts, 60hz, 5 watts.

2. There is a good amount of static when the pedal is turned on. Any ideas what to do about that? Would spraying the pot with contact cleaner make a difference if the static occurs even when the pot is not turned?

Thanks.

Based on the specs you've discovered on the unit and using the transposed variation of the basic electronic formula (P = I x E), the max current draw for that device is .04A at 120VAC. Thus, the 1A fuse is much too large to provide the device with any protection in the event of an overload. Likely, the .25A fuse is correct for this particular piece of gear.

Cleaning any pots and/or switches with tuner-wash or De-Oxit will probably eliminate the static.

I got the 1/4amp fuses and i sprayed the pot and switch with deoxit. Now there is no static/crackling.

One thing that i do notice though, is that the sound output is low. For example if i use the amp without the pedal at volume of 2 an equivalent volume with the pedal on is around 4.

Any ideas what could cause that? or is that normal.
Thanks.
