This ought to do it......

http://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/humbuck ... distortion

And it's available with F-spacing, in a variety of colors to match your guitar's cosmetics.

I would suggest the same. Duncan JB is another frontrunner for consideration. Both are great pickups.

I have to agree. This is the original kick-ass, high output, 'bread and butter' pickup from which anyone and everyone has copied.

Use a 500K audio taper pot with it.

A 250K pot will hump up the midrange giving you less treble than that of a 500K.

It would appear that way if you look at the chart given. But just remember, you can use the treble on your amp to give you what you want. I've never had any problems getting enough treble out of one.

What ends up being a gray area here is the word "tone", and what it means to you. I find that in a lot of cases, it means mids and bass to most people. The more treble, the more people tend to call it tone-less, or shrill, or any number of other ways to describe it. Possibly even Metal.

500k is the way to go with this pickup.
