I'm kind of stuck here.. I need help!
I'm just trying to split bridge and neck humbucker outer couils with and S1 switch. I tried reading about the switch and how it works but.. I'm not having any luck. :(

Thanks to our good buddy, Andybighair, here's a link to the mechanical aspects of how the S-1 Switch works. His is the second post down:

Thank you so much..! Yeah Andy is great!
This is very helpful. I think I understand how the switch works.. I guess my problem now is to get the pickup configuration that I want.

S1 up
Position
1= neck humbucker
2= neck split to outer coil with middle pickup
3=neck and bridge humbucker split to outer coils
2=middle + full bridge humbucker
1=full bridge humbucker

S1 down
1=neck split to outer coil
2=neck split to outer coil = middle pickup
3=middle pickup
4=middle + brige split to outer coil
5= bridge outer coil.

Howdy!

You are both too kind! :oops:

Unfortunately I have incorrectly labelled the S-1 as a double throw switch when it is in fact a single throw, latching push switch. I shall correct that thread shortly.

Not too long ago I would have been more than happy to sit down and try and work that out for you but due to my current work load I have very little spare time. Right now, just thinking about custom S-1 wiring makes my brain hurt!

I'm a hobbyist at best when it comes to guitar wiring and find if I don't practice that sort of thing regularly it takes me a quite a bit of time to to get my head into "wiring mode".

I wish you the very best with your project and be sure to keep us posted on how you get on! :D

Andy
