I ordered a set of these pups. Upon installation I discovered the bridge pup was bad (open).
I decided to not fool around with it and contacted the dealer. The dealer said to send them to Fender. No problem, Fender is local for me. I got a CS number and the return was authorized. Fender accepted the return and authorized a replacement.
Weeks later, still no pickups. I inquired as to what was up and was told that we are WAITING FOR PACKAGING!!
Fender refuses to send the pups out without their packaging. They also will not return the defective set I sent in, I could fix it, probably just a bad solder joint. I don't care, put the new pups in my old package, really, what's the difference?
So now my guitar has been apart for weeks with no end in sight. How in the world can I now get a refund?? No longer interested in waiting with no end in sight for Fender to replace these pickups. As far as I'm concerned, they've got my money and are refusing to return it. Can't get beyond the low level customer service person who has no authority to make anything happen to correct my situation.
Please help!!

Tell that customer service rep to go choke his chicken and buy yourself a set of Fralins. Nobody should have to put up with this kind of aggravation.

Order a set of Klein '69s. I have a set that are great. They sound pretty much like the Fender set but you can have Chris custom wind them to your specs which gives you a lot of control.

Fralin and Klein make the best pickups.

I have noticed that receiving decent customer service has become a problem with many big companies. Fender has always been helpful when I've had an issue, however if they cannot provide the service that you have described then I understand your frustration and agree that you should be angry with them. That is unacceptable that they are not able to solve your problem in a quick and appropriate manner. Ironically your screen name "Copperhead" is the company I have purchaced my pickups from. The guy now goes by Chevalier Pickups due to confusion with pickups named Copperheads(not produced by him) and does a wonderful job in a very timely manner. I have a set of '59(SRV style), '67(Hendrix style with a Chevalier built pickguard with high quality components), and he put together a set of "Big Dipper" John Mayer style pickups for my friend that he was extremely happy with. I love the work done by Chevalier and you can't beat his prices. He is very receptive to suggestions and will respond to any questions quickly. He is easy to work with and will work with you to find the sound that you are looking for with recommendations to achieve your goal. He does have a return policy aswell. Good Luck in finding the tone that you are hunting.
