Hello! I bought a Vintage Noiseless Stratocaster ® Pickups, and unfortunately the wiring diagram which is in a box - or wrong or other. Because I have 2 potentiometer 1 MOhms and 1 potentiometer 500 KOhms, but in the scheme all potentiometers is 1 MOhms. Which one mount to volume control and which to tone control?

Welcome.

Over the years, Fender has switched around the ohm values of their potentiometers with the Vintage Noiseless pickup sets where the included wiring diagrams never quite caught up with these changes. Your best bet believe it or not, is to use the OEM 250K ohm pots you have in your guitar now. However, if you still want to use the new trio, the 500K ohm would be your volume pot. Again though, you are much better off using the OEM 250Ks. Regardless of the resistance value of the pots, you can still follow the wiring diagram that came with your VN set.

Fender.com has all of their guitar/bass/amp/ wiring diagrams available in their 'support' section. I'm not sure how far back they go. But there are websites that have even the oldest schematics.

HI ROCKSTAR

If I had 2 VNs and a 59 humbucker in the bridge
and wanted to use a separate volume each, one volume for the Neck & mid and one volume for bridge with a master tone knob, which pots for volumes and tones should I use?
I have 250K pots with .022 caps to start with now
Just swap out the 2 volumes for 500k ?
Thanks

Greetings,

I'm premising that the existing volume pot would be for the neck/middle pickups and the upper tone pot would then be converted to a volume for the 59er. You could leave all 250K pots first and see if you like the response. If not, the existing (OEM) 250K volume pot for the VNs should be left in place. Change only the upper tone pot (the one being converted to the 59er's volume pot) to a 500K. The remaining 250K (now) master tone pot will be fine unless you want to expand it's taper; continue to use the .022uf cap.

Glad to help!

If they have 4 conductors, they are not VNs. Post a few pictures of these pickups in order for us to better advise you.

They're single coil sized humbuckers
and of course a '59 HB for the bridge

green = +
Black = ground

red + white = to ground for s/c

shield to ground

Dont have pics available ATM

Regards

The Duncan wiring code you have correct. However, you MAY have to reverse the black and green wires in order for it to be in phase with the other two "mystery" pickups.
