Has anyone else had this issue? I had installed a set of Texas Specials in my American Standard Tele, very happy. After about a year, the bridge pickup just stopped working. Took back to shop that did the work (credible, authorized Fender repair shop in Chicago) and he said, yes pickup is dead, need to install new. Which I did. Now, a couple years later - same thing?

That is very strange. I suspect bad solder on the pickup or made by your guitar store.

A pickup can't be dead.

1- Can you show us a picture of your pickup and electronics ( potentiometer) ? At leas just remove control plate , this is easy for a picture

2- Have you keep your first pickup, the first who came dead ?

3- Can you use an Ohmeter to mesure pickup if I write you how to ?
