Hi, I have a set of CS 69s which i intend to fit in my 62AVRI in place of the standard bevelled magnet 57/62 pups, which though nice clean seem to mud up pretty easily once the gain goes up.

I also have a spare fat 50s bridge PUP, would CS69 neck and middle and Fat 50 bridge be a good combo, or should i just fit the full CS69 set?

Thanks.

The Fat 50's pickup will sound a skosh beefier through the mids than either the 57/62's or the CS 69's. You'll still have plently of highs available but the center frequencies will be enhanced with less opportunity for "ice-pickiness" that sometimes plagues a Strat's bridge pickup. Give it a try and see -- I'm betting that it'll sound great.

Hi And thanks, I put them in this morning and your right, it is a great combimation, and as a bonus, i have a spare CS69 pup that i am sure will fit just great in the neck slot of one of my other strats. :)
Its opened up the sound massivley, and very touch sensitive, much better than the 57/62 set i had in there previously which always sounded almost a bit too tight and lacking character. Very happy with the result.

Cheers.
