Okay I have a classic players 60s strat in sonic blue, and I want to get the black accessory kit (the one thats the tone knobs and pickup covers etc.). I have three questions about this.
1. Will the pick up covers fit mine? I heard someone saying that it didn't fit theirs.
2. how hard is it to change out the pickup covers? and what's the best way to do so. should I measure the pickup heights before I do it so they will be the same?
and
3. The tone/volume knobs on mine dont screw on, I thought that the strat ones did. Will the accessory kit ones screw on, or push on like these?

thanks!

i bought the aged white accessory kit with the knobs, and pup covers, etc.

the knobs are push on.

i bought a set of Vintage Noiseless pups, and planned on replacing the covers with the ones from the accessory kit. they did not fit. luckily the covers on my new pups were aged. they might fit on standard pups however. i tried to get the covers off the stock pups in my strat, but they didn't want to come off easily, so i stopped, because i didn't want to ruin the pups.

if you can't get the covers off your pups, you might want to take it to a shop, to see if they can. because you dont want to ruin the pups by tearing the coils or something.

if the covers won't come off at first, just apply a little (just a little will work fine) heat, like a candle or something. the pups are dipped in wax to remove microphonics and is why they won't come off easily

(don't remove the covers of single coil size humbuckers though)
