pick one!!! I want a Fuzz. I can't decide... You help! If you have one that you feel is better for around $150 or less and/or you can give a legitimate argument, then let me know... .

I can not fathom spending more than that for a fuzz pedal no matter how good it sounds...It is only a FUZZ pedal (one trick pony).

Couldnt vote but when you find one that suit you and sounds like a real fuzz and not distortion you let me know :)

Forgot to say, without dropping a few hundreds.

I voted for the Fulltone, either the 70 or a 69 if you can find one. The blue reissue Dunlop sounds decent as well albeit a little pricey for what it is. I've been looking for a Fulltone 69 or 70 myself but may settle for a Fuzzface.

As for the Fuzz Face... I'm really not that impressed with its tone, size, and price. It takes up a lot of room on my already crowded pedal board. I'm trying to save room for the EH POG2 and tiny little Malekko Trem that I will be adding shortly. :D

I found the Fulltone '70 to be very temperamental and hard to dial in. Lots of "spit" and "sizzle" as promised. I love the '69, but it's crazy expensive. If you can find an older Big Muff, esp. a Deluxe one w/compressor, they're pretty great-more of a distortion than a 60s-style fuzz sound, though. I'm curious about Hartman pedals-they're supposed to be really good, and they make a "Tommy Bolin" fuzz that is lower-gain but very toneful-based on TBs old Sam Ash fuzz.

I was talking to a guitar player I know last night and he had a 69 RI that he sold to a guy for 150 a little over a year ago, I almost gave him a swift one in the $@!... I asked him if he knew how much they were going for these days. He said he didn't want to know, so I told him anyway  and he almost swift kicked himself. I was checking out the Malekko omnicrom series again when I got home and there little fuzz pedal is PRETTY SWEET for around 130 bucks (which isn't to bad considering the price for a descent FUZZ)

Keeley and AnalogMan are also well worth seeking out for fuzzes.

None Of The Above.
I've just acquired an Earthquaker Devices Hoof Fuzz and I cannot stop playing "Sunshine Of Your Love", "Purple Haze", and the riff to "Satisfaction".
Germanium madness but still smooth, cleans up fairly well, and vastly superior tone control.
Ssssh, don't tell everybody...

Just checked out the earthquaker devices web site... AWESOME!!! This pedal kicks! I love how versatile it is. 165 bones isn't too off pace either... I really dig the fact that it's a germanium/silicon hybrid. Thanks for the tip evets618!

I have been really considering building a OLC effects Big Cheese clone though... Its called the Chunky Cheese! HAHA but I guess I could name it what ever I wanted to... It comes bare and I'm pretty handy with a brush(sign painter/pinstriper:)...

Check it out let me know what you think of this guy! might be changing my mind after hearing the HOOF!!!

Has anyone tried the newly released Fulltone 70 BC108 fuzz?

What are your thoughts? Any Eric Johnson magic in there?

The Big Cheese sounds a bit like the M I Audio G.I. Fuzz. It does that dying battery/gated fuzz thang, too. Gnarly!
I haven't tried the Fulltone, but I had the MXR BC-108 Fuzz (the blue hammer-tone Hammond box). It was very smooth.

 Talking Fuzzes gets me all fuzzy inside

I haven't tried the 70 but I hear good things about it... I like my fuzz to be thick and the MXR was a little too top endish when I gave it a go the other day... Hmmm.

Been running my head ragged looking at fuzzes... I'm not sure weather to go simple or versatile. I really dig the Big Muff pi w/ Tone Wicker for muff versatility, but that's only it... MUFF. I Like the Swollen Pickle for the same reasons, but has more knobs for tweaking tone. I also really dig the Earthquaker Devices HOOF, which is a germ/sil hybrid based on the green russian MUF, which I can only youtube for sound clips... wish I could demo in person. The Barber Trifecta seems to be very versatile and doesn't have that bad of a price tag but is also a youtube only demo ... Then there's the Red Witch Fuzz God II... Pricey... but I do know a dealer personally so I might be able to get it at a decent price. The Fuzz God can do anything that I would like it to do and get a little crazy in the process, but is it worth the price tag?

Muff 89.72 Simple, Price effective
Pickle 119.99 Like Muff with more knobs
Trifecta 149.95 Tri-Muff, Jumbo Bender, and Suppa Bender
HooF 165.00 Russian Green muff with more tone adjustment and head room
F God2 249.99 Wow factor... price break...

will I ever fill my thirst for fuzz?

I wish Vox would just break down and re-issue the old germanium-powered Tone Bender!
