Just put a set of CS-TS's in my Strat, it had been stock for a long time, i was happy with how it was it was just starting to get noisy so it was time for a change, i couldn't think of anything better to load it with than a set of Texas specials an am more than happy with it now.
Like everybody had said, if it ain't broke don't fix it, just enjoy it !! 8)

And Plus!!!! You've started out with favourite pick ups of a huge percentage of blues players    So just wing it for a while give it 6 months then go listen to a few more!!! There hot and extremely responsive, They spit and crackle at you big time especially if you fumble a bit and are ringing there necks, I think as someone made a good point all depending on your amp you could lower them, the height easy to do just adjust the screws either end of the pickup to take the bite out untill you get a bit better at how to handle the harmonics of a electric, It is exactly how i started with single coils till i learnt to play them, Adjusting hight's wont wreck your guitar and you can easily put it back if you dont dig it, Play with it, It's just logic as to DB gain with the pickups higher or DB drop lower. There great pickups and if i could only have one electric it would be a strat with TS's  for all their hiss and spiting when your trying to get every thing out of them there response to playing dynamics is just so pretty!!!! ENJOY!!!!!

Pickups are one factor in the equation of great blues tone/sound.

The amplifier is another major factor. A great amp with just the right amount of breakup and sustain will have you feeling the blues.

Nothing feels greater than when you get in a groove, start bending and squeezing, and the power tubes are glowing red and blue, and the amps pine cabinet starts shaking.
