Can anyone confirm the configuration or color dot on Texas Specials “Strat” pups? I’ve seemed to have lost the original wiring diagram? I think it's (red) for the bridge, (Plain) for the middle and (blue) for the neck? Also, what is this “reverse install” as applied to the middle pickup?

Thanks,

Mike

You are correct...

Red dot = Bridge
Blue dot = Neck

The middle pickup has yellow(-ish) and black leads instead of white and black indicating that it is Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity (RWRP) to the other two. This is what effectively cancels 60 cycle hum in positions 2 and 4 on the selector switch.

to add to SMark's post, the middle yellow is the HOT ( to the switch) and the black to ground naturally.
