Is the mid RWRP? It does not seem to indicate that is the fact on the description, but I am just checking.

What would happen if you solder the middle pickup "backwards"? Would that have the effect of:

a. destroying it
b. making into a RWRP pickup
c. do nothing

d. You'd have a hollow, nasal, weak sounding pickup devoid of all bass when teaming it with either of the other two.
e. You'd have a RP pickup.

Well, I guess having RP and no RW just won't do it. My rig is pretty quiet now in the 1-3-5 positions so I guess I will just make sure everything is properly shielded and grounded.

Don't even bother with the shielding as it is more of a placebo than anything else.

Classic Rock, Blues and Country. Looking for classic single coil tone. Are these a good choice?

Absolutely!

If it were me though, for maximum versatility (and if you wanted to stick with Fender pickups), I'd put a 69 in the neck, a 57/62 in the middle and a TS in the bridge.

Or use a Robert Cray bridge pickup in the bridge position......they've got plenty of "squawk" as well.

I didn't know you could get them as seperate items...everywhere I see them I see sets only. Do you have a source to get them one pickup at a time?

Actually, you have to look around. There's always people selling and trading singles from sets. As a matter of fact, I myself am currently selling individual pickups from certain Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio and Fender Strat sets locally and on other sites.
