Hi, apologies for asking the same question again.

I have a'91 MiM Strat upgraded with the full Clapton setup and it sounds great in all 5 positions.

I have an '06 US Standard I put Texas Specials in, following the wiring exactly, and found the bridge/mid tone really thin compared to the strat with the Vintage Noiseless's. Didn't like it so I changed it to HSS with the Texas Special neck and mid with a SD Pearly Gates in the bridge. This was wired following the Lone Star Strat diagram exactly, I still find positions 1,3,4,5 really full on but the split Bridge/Mid is still really thin, can anyone tell me what I am missing before I go mad!

Premising that you've definitely wired everything correctly, both your bridge pickups are apparently out of phase with your middle and neck pickups. With the Texas Special bridge pickup, reverse the black and white wires; with the Duncan, reverse the the black and green wires.

Thanks for the reply, I will swap the wires and see what happens. What I do not understand is how they are out of phase having exactly followed Fender's own wiring diagrams on their site.

Problem is there is no standard to how different manufactures WIND (direction) their pickups ( what is the positive and negative wire.)

When Fender makes a RW/RP pickup , ( like a mid. CSTS) they have the wind direction opposite of THEIR neck and middle. That doesn't mean that will match phase of outer brands. It's a relative thing.

Well I did exactly as Martian suggested and hey presto, it rocks and roars.
I had foolishly followed Fender's own Lone Star diagram, which uses a Seymour Duncan. I am still puzzled about the full Texas Special set, that was wired as per the SRV and Texas Special Strat diagrams but it sounds like it was still out of phase, wierd! Anyone want a lonely Texas Special bridge PuP?
