There are many low noise Strat pups available these days. I've been comparing Fender Vintage Noiseless to Lace Sensor. I am aware of Dimarzio Area pups, as well as Seymour Duncan models. If anyone can relate their personal hands on experience I would appreciate it. You tube is a fair ground for comparison but there is nothing like hands on audio. Thank you.

I've been reading up a lot on noiseless pickups lately and it seems that the general consensus is that fender noiseless pickups are good but they lose a little of the true single coil tone.
Lace sensors have been used for years and they come in a wide variety for specific genres. All of the ones that I've ever heard sound great to me. I think I remember reading that they have upgraded the design recently. I do know that they finally came out with a version that has simulated pole pieces, which was the only thing that kept me from buying a set in the past. I like the classic look.

I started by trying the dimazio blues ones and have to say I have replaced them with Fender full 3 piece set of Hot noiseless pickups which I fitted this week end.

Result : great 2nd position bell ringing sound and a fabulous neck position sustain so sweet. These are fitted to a one off custom Gordy Strat with maple neck. Made by Gordon Whittam formerly off Gordon Smith Guitars in the Uk. Played through a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade 100w combo. no other external pedals never had the need for them. the overall range is great. the bridge pickup is bright and doesn't break up when driven.
Play Doobies, Clapton Buddy guy BB King and the sound is perrrrfect!
Please note if you invest in a H&K Switchblade or similar it does take weeks to find the sound you want. But when you get it it's awesome. Watchout for my you tube examples coming soon! Hope this helps. The you tube examples don't always do justice. PS anyone want to buy 3 dimazio strat pickups.
