I have an American Deluxe Tele with the S-1 switching system. I like how I can get the two different sounds with the switch in the middle position. In my clean amp channel I can have crystal clean and then a bit of dirt. And my crunch channel can be low to higher gain. So I get 4 sounds instead of 2. But I don't like the volume jump when the switch is pushed in. Is there a mod of some sort to even that out or is it inherent in the pickup configuration? Thanks.

Welcome, Johnny!

To even it out would be to dismantle the S-1 system itself as this is part and parcel of what it is/does.
