Having a hard time finding Fender Super Bullet string gauge 9-42. I checked MF and GC and on their websites they say they are discontinued? Anyone know anything about this? I even went to my hometown Guitar Center and they don't stock them anymore apparently.

All I know is everytime I have walked into my Guitar Center the past 3 months, they say they are out of stock. Having said that, it appears that they changed the look of the packinging, maybe that's why I have seen the ads with the older packinging say discontinued?

Maybe you need to find a different dealer.

I like Sweetwater: free shipping and no state sales tax.

There have been times when I couldn't find the gauge I was looking for at local stores at all. I've never found any of the nickel Original Bullet .009s in stores, just the nickel-plated Supers.

The OP complained he couldn't find the strings on line either and that they were discontinued, which is obviously false.

Ouch, I just asked a question. I'll make note not to ask anything else here.

See this link here based on my question-
http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=101260

I did find them but the packinging has changed, hence it appears the old packinging was discontinued and not the strings themselves. I have since ordered from an online source.

What is the problem? In your original post you said they were discontinued, which is false. I was the first to answer your original post with links to three sites for the strings. You're welcome.

Hey Everyone,

Yeah they are deffinitley discontinued, I have searched over 10 different websites (guitar center, musicians friend, sweetwater, sam ash, etc) and all websites say discontinued, which is not "obviouslly false" These companies have HUGE warehouses and unless there was a huge buying spree party for fender guitar strings that I wasn't aware of, these are deffinitley gone. I'm not sure why but you can't buy them anymore online or in-store (unless it's old stock on clearance.)

You do not know what you are talking about:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/073-3250-404/

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-3250 ... 1501397.gc

http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=423258

http://www.samash.com/p/Super%20Bullets ... _-49968130

And the list goes on. All gauges are available.

Try reading the original post again, he didn't claim they were discontinued, he said the MF and GC website said they were discontinued and asked if anyone had more information.
