I bought a fender acoustic used in August of 09 and just bought the amp last night (Marshall as50D). I plugged in and what a great sound! I was in love instantly... Until I realized the amp wasn't picking up the D and B (4th and 5th) strings. I have only played acousticly and have NEVER owned an amp or used the pick-up other than for a tuner in this guitar.
The pick-up is a Fender/Fishman Classic 4T.

Does anyone have an idea as to why only TWO strings would be picked up or amplified?

Sincerely,
Kevin

Welcome.

Chances are the bridge saddle beneath the two affected strings isn't firmly mating with the pickup and/or the pickup beneath the two affected strings isn't firmly mating with the guitar's body underneath.
